Bittersweet is about 40 minutes north of the Loop in Gurnee off I-94 at Grand Ave to the west.

The golf course is a challenging layout with water and/or wetlands in play on 16 the holes. It winds through a residential community along contoured fairways with an abundance of sand bunkers defending the landing zones and generous, contoured greens. It's a Bob Lohmann design that plays to 6,751 yards off the tips, 73.3/135, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees.
