Stonewall Orchard is in the far northwest suburbs of Chicago near the Wisconsin state line in the Grayslake area west of Rt 45 on Rt 60.

The layout provides for an interesting and varied design with a combination of links and parkland design elements situated on a large, natural tract of land surrounded and bordered by wetlands and deep woods. There's a blend of open fairways defined by tall fescue grasses and those which are tree lined. Additionally, there's slight and dramatic doglegs, a variety of shapes and sizes of sand traps, and water hazards in play on over half the holes. It can play up to 7,124 yards, 75.0/150, course/slope ratings from the tips with three shorter tees, designed by Arthur Hills.
