The Tradition is between New Haven and Hartford off I-91 at Pond Hill Rd/Exit 13 on the east side of 91, partially bordering an apartment/residential community on the interior holes and dense forest on the exterior.

The course is a true target layout with narrow tree-lined and mounded fairways along slight doglegs with well-protected greens, and features an island green at the par 3, 12th. It's short at 5,781 yards, par 70, 68.8/121, course/slope ratings from the gold tees with two shorter tees, designed by Roger Rulewich.
