The Tradition at Oak Lane is on the west side of New Haven, off the Wilbur Cross at Derby.

The layout is a classic parkland design that moves along mature, hardwood-tree-lined fairways over level terrain, with multiple water hazards, 48 sand traps, and mid-sized, oval greens. There are tees from 5,770 to 6,680 yards; the White tees are 6,120 yards, 75.7/128, course/slope ratings, designed by Geoffrey Cornish.
