Saltleaf is located on Florida's west coast between Naples and Fort Myers, off I-75 at Corkscrew Road, on the west side of Estero Bay.

The Preserve course inhabits an Audubon Sanctuary, with the fairways continually bordered by wetlands, lakes, and natural, crushed stone waste areas without conventional sand bunkers. The greens are somewhat large and generally elevated, with the surfaces undulating and surrounded by collection areas. Raymond Floyd designed it, and it plays to 6,478 yards from the championship tees, 70.4/125, course/slope ratings with 6 shorter tees.

There's also the 9-hole, Leaf, a walking-only, par 3 layout.
