Shell Point is off McGregor Blvd in southwest Fort Myers north of the bridge to Sanibel.

The layout wanders through natural areas and a residential development with water or wetlands in play on most holes producing multiple forced carries, and sand bunkers positioned along the fairways and greens. The course was designed by Gordy Lewis with five sets of tees from 4,347 yards to 6,585 yards at the tips, the middle blue tees play to 5,556 yards, 67.4/119, course/slope ratings.
