Oak Valley is part of a real estate development southwest of Winston-Salem off I-40 at exit 180.

The course is partially bordering a residential community with a variety of challenging holes. The layout is parkland style over rolling, tree-lined fairways and along numerous water hazards with sand traps along the landing zones and greens. It can play to 7,033 yards from the tips, 74.1/143, course/slope ratings with four sets of tees, designed by Arnold Palmer.
