Salem Glen is southwest of Winston Salem in Clemmons on the north side of the Yadkin River.

The golf course is within a residential community with either homes, trees, or lakes and streams along the fairways. The front side is more of a link-style layout over relatively flat land set in the Yadkin River basin. The back side has substantial elevation change as it moves along rolling and sloping, hardwood tree lined fairways. There's five sets of tees overall, the middle tees are 6,063 yards, 70.2/132, course/slope ratings, a Jack Nicklaus design.
