Glade Valley is 10 miles north of Frederick, just southwest of Woodsboro, surrounded by farmland.

The layout is over slightly rolling terrain, with well-spaced fairways defined by trees, Glade Creek, and several ponds/wetlands in play, and 40+ sand bunkers along the fairways and greens. It can play to 6,866 yards, 72.5/123, course/slope ratings off the tips with three shorter tees, designed by JLR Associates.
