Bartley Cavanaugh is a municipal golf course owned by the city of Sacramento on the Sacramento River in the Freeport area off I-5 at the Consumnes River exit.

The layout is somewhat forgiving off the tee along broad, tree-lined, slightly undulating fairways with trouble in the form of OB on the front side and water in play on over half the holes overall. Its signature hole is a replica of the TPC Sawgrass island hole, the 107-yard island par 3, 17th. It was designed by Perry Dye in 1995 and plays to 6,158 yards, 68.9/122, course/slope ratings from the tips with three shorter tees.
