Empire Ranch Golf Club is east of Sacramento in Folsom north of the Lincoln Highway on the south side of Folsom lake in a residential development.

The course is an interesting mix of links and parkland elements with several risk/reward opportunities and numerous marsh/wetland areas to navigate. The fairways are bordered by tall fescue grasses with a modest amount of sand bunkers along the landing zones and guarding the greens. It can play to 6,668 yards, par 71, 71.1/127, course/slope ratings from the blue tees with two shorter tees, designed by Brad Bell.
