Wailua Golf Course is an affordable, municipal golf course located between Lihue and Kapa'a on the east side of Kauai with a series of holes on the Pacific Ocean.

The course's fairways are defined by native trees and foliage and generally straightforward save for several slight doglegs with sand bunkers positioned to the sides of the modest, green complexes. It was initially a 9-hole golf course in the 1930s with a second 9 added in 1961 by Toyo Shirai, and has been a tournament venue for the Amateur Public Links and other USGA events over the years. From the blue tees it's 6,991 yards, 73.6/130, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees. Kamaaina rates (locals) are half of the costs for visitors-another good reason to move to Hawaii!
