Turtle Point is part of the Kiawah rota of courses and is generally rated above Cougar and Oak Point but below Osprey and The Ocean courses.

The layout is a Jack Nicklaus design from the early 1980s and saunters through a residential community with views of the Atlantic from several vantage points. The course features numerous doglegs, plentiful sand bunkering along the fairways and greens, multiple water hazards, and the wind off the Atlantic typically up and in play. It can play to 7,061 yards from the back tees,(Gold), 73.8/140, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees.
