Topstone is on the northeast side of Hartford in South Windsor on Griffin Road.

The layout is a straightforward, parkland design with fairways through corridors of trees over rolling terrain. There are a generous number of sand traps in front of and to the sides of the small, oval, or kidney-shaped greens, along with a stream that impacts multiple holes and a small pond. There are four sets of tees from 5,097 yards to 6,542 yards. The White tees are 6,113 yards, 69.0/119, course/slope ratings, designed by Al Zikorus.
