Timber Point Golf Course is east of Rockford, in Poplar Grove, on the north side of Belvedere, and is partially within a residential community.

The layout is mostly a parkland design along tree-lined fairways, though a few holes offer wide-open, link-style characteristics with tall prairie grasses at the margins. There's a variety of conventional, sculptured sand bunkers, as well as numerous long waste areas and multiple ponds and streams in play. There are five sets of tees overall, from 4,955 yards to 7,077 yards at the tips, with the middle white tees at 6,057 yards,69.8/120, course/slope ratings, designed by Mike Schulz.
