The Sawmill Golf Club is on the west side of town off Midland Road, partially through a residential development.

The layout provides a blend of wide-open and heavily forested fairway corridors. There are a number of forced carries and approaches over wetlands or water features and well-bunked fairways and greens, which are sloped, undulating, and quick. It was designed by John Sanford and is 6,735 yards from the tips, 72.4/136 course/slope ratings, and three shorter tees.
