Apple Mountain is midway between Saginaw and Midland on the west side of the Tittabawassee River.

The course meanders over the level terrain of the resort and development and then climbs into the ski slopes along generally broad fairways overall. There's multiple lakes and ponds in play on 12 holes and a generous amount of large sand bunkers distributed along the landing zones and defending the generous, tiered and undulating greens. The course was designed by John Sanford and plays to 6,947 yards off the tips, 74.5/142, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees.
