The Sanctuary is on the east side of Joliet in New Lenox off I-80 at Lincoln Highway to the east along Hickory Creek.

The routing is a blend of wide open links-style fairways and parkland holes along tree lined corridors. The fairways are contoured and bordered by tall fescue with ponds, the Creek, and wetlands in play on 14 holes, and a liberal amount of sand traps along the fairways and greens. It plays to 6,342 yards from the Blue tees, 70.3/126, course/slope ratings, designed by Steve Halberg in the mid-1990s.
