Prestwick GC is within a residential development on the southeast side of St. Paul, south of I-94 at Woodbury on Lake Road.

The routing is a parkland-style design along sculptured, tree-lined fairways with an abundance of sand bunkers and multiple ponds and wetlands in play. It's a challenging shotmaker's delight where course management outweighs distance both on the tee and on approach to the greens. There are five sets of tees; the tips play to 6,876 yards, 73.7/137, course/slope ratings; the white tees are 6,374 yards, 71.3/133, designed by Kurt Sandness. Additionally, there are substantial practice facilities with a huge 2-sided range, 6 target greens, 2 putting greens, and a practice bunker.
