Peacock Gap is in San Rafael on San Pablo Bay 23 miles north of downtown San Francisco.

The golf course is a parkland layout over rolling terrain with homes lining the exterior holes. The fairways are defined by oak trees and intertwined by numerous streams with sand bunkers positioned along the fairways and defending the undulating, contoured greens. It's a short 6,261 yards from the black tees, 70.0/122, course/slope ratings and four shorter tees. The course was originally designed by William F. Bell in 1959 and remodeled with holes added by Forrest Richardson.
