Ocean Creek is located on Fripp Island, about 45 minutes east of Beaufort, SC.

The layout , used for some of the filming of Forest Gump, was built around the salt marshes and wetlands over mounded fairways through the dunes, leading to small to mid-sized, well-defended greens. It's very much target golf without much room off the fairway or around the greens for errant shots. The course measures 6,586 yards, par 71, 71.9/129, course/slope ratings from the back tees with two shorter tees. The course was Davis Love's first stab at golf course architecture and opened in 1995.
