Mount Mitchell Golf Club is about an hour northeast of Asheville and 1 1/2 hours from the Tri-Cities just off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Burnsville.

The golf course jaunts through a stunning setting in the Toe River Valley on mostly level terrain along the South Toe River and Still Fork Creek which come into play frequently. The fairways are lined with trees while the landing zones and greens are well protected by white sand bunkers. There's three sets of tees overall with it playing to 6,495 yards, 70.0/131, course/slope ratings from the back tees, designed by Fred Hawtree in 1971.
