The Marine Memorial Golf Course is located in a valley in the foothills of Windmill Canyon between Camp Pendleton North and South just north of Oceanside.

The course is an affordable, old school traditional layout traveling along fairways defined by trees. It's generally straightforward save for several slight doglegs with sand bunkers mostly defending the modest, oval or kidney shaped greens. It's a classic by Billy Bell design from 1948 that's operated by the Marines and plays to 6,865 yards, 72.5/130, course/slope ratings off the tips with three shorter tees.
