Lakeview has 27 holes of golf off I-81 to the east in Harrisonburg in the Shenandoah Valley. The course runs through scenic parkland, surrounded by mountains, with few homes or development along the holes.

The three nine-hole layouts are parkland-style designs, each appropriately named for its features. They're all entertaining and challenging courses with varying degrees of elevation change along fairways defined by trees. Streams and a pond are in play, and sand bunkers line the fairways and defend the greens. They were designed by Ault Clark with five sets of tees overall; the Mountain is 3,551 yards, 38.7/142; the Peak is 3,321 yards, 35.9/130; and the Lake is 3,179 yards, 35.4/126.
