Kapalua Golf Club

The Kapalua Golf Club is located at the end of the Honoapiilani Highway or Route 30 with two 18 hole, championship golf courses.

The Bay Course competes with The Plantaion with its spectacular views, but isn't the quality or strength of the layout. It features broad and rolling fairways with sand bunkers defending the landing zones and generous, contoured greens. It's generally recognized for Kapalua's most photographed hole, the par 3, 5th over the waves of Oneloa Bay to a green surrounded by black lava cliffs on one side with three bunkers on the other. It plays to 6,600-yards, par 72, 72.1/136, course/slope ratings from the back tees with three shorter tees, designed by Arnold Palmer and Francis Duane in the mid-1970 with a Core/Crenshaw redesign.

Plantation is the PGA Tour's venue at Kapalua and a bracing layout. The course was built on the West Maui Mountains overlooking the pineapple fields, the west Maui beach and the Pacific, the islands of Molokai and Lanai and is wide open and exposed to the constant trade winds. There's an impressive amount of elevation change throughout providing substantial character and challenge over a stunning setting. It was designed by Coore/Crenshaw in 1991 and plays to 7,411 yards, 77.2/144, course/slope ratings from the tips with five shorter tees.
