Kaanapali is on Maui's west coast 5 minutes north of Lahaina with two 18 hole layouts

The preferred layout here is the Royal Kaanapali which provides a surprising amount of elevation change in the middle of the course with scenic views throughout of Molokai, Lanai, and the West Maui Mountains. It's a parkland design along broad, tree lined fairways and relatively wide open off the tee with water in play on first and two closing holes and well bunkered along the fairways and the undulating greens. It can play to at 6,700 yards from the tips, 74.2/131, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr.

The Kaanapali Kai traverses rolling, palm tree lined fairways with greens well defended by sand bunkers and several water features on the backside. It is a par of 70 at 6,388 yards, 70.7/135, course/slope ratings from the tips with three shorter tees, originally designed by Arthur Jack Snyder with later renovations by Robin Nelson.
