Indian Mound is on the west side of Ossipee Lake on the White Mountain Parkway north of Ossipee Center 30 minutes north of Wolfesboro.

The golf course is a classic, New England layout traipsing along tree lined fairways with the front side over rather level terrain while the backside has a modest change in elevation. It's a definite shot maker's layout with narrow driving corridors, water hazards on over half the holes, and small, postage stamp-sized, greens. The golf course is a short par 70 layout at 5,675 yards from the tips, 67.7/113 course and slope ratings with two shorter tees, designed by Phil Wogan.
