Forest Hills is 20 minutes west of Portland on the south side of Cornelius surrounded by farmland and fields.

The course is a classic wandering over slightly rolling terrain along tree lined fairways with numerous streams and ponds impacting play and sand traps generally alongside the modest greens. It's scenic as well with views of Mount Hood, Mount St. Helens, and Mount Adams throughout the round. The layout is short at 6,303 yards from the tips, 69.9/123, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees, designed by Billy Bell.
