There's two 18 hole courses at Chautauqua located on the west side of the Lake.

The Lake Course is a parkland layout designed by Donald Ross with many of the Ross design features intact. It's a straightforward golf course cruising along tree lined fairways with water hazards on 1/3 of the holes and deep faced bunkers guarding modest, crowned greens. It plays to 6,535 yards, par 72, 71.0/124, course/slope ratings from the tips with two shorter tees.

The The Hill Course is a parkland layout as well with varying degrees of elevation change along tree lined fairways with a couple of ponds and a stream impacting play and greens well defended by sand traps. It was designed by Xenophon Hassenplug and is 6,553 yards, 70.8/124, course/slope ratings from the back tees.

The clubhouse is a traditional, white 1920s American style design, an overall quaint and homey environment with golf a pleasant diversion from the general institution of Chautauqua.
