Brookside is off the Foothill Freeway between exits 23 and 24 to the west adjoining the Rose Bowl in Pasadena with two 18 hole golf courses.

The layouts are parkland style designs journeying along oak tree lined fairways through a scenic setting with the mountains as a backdrop and the Rose Bowl in view part of the time. The C.W. Koiner Course course has water in play on six holes and more generous, elevated greens well defended by sand bunkers. It's longer at 7,228 yards, 74.8/134, course/slope ratings from the tips with three shorter tees. The E.O. Nay course is along narrow fairways with more in the way of sand bunkers but only one water hazard. It's 6,046 yards, 69.8/122, course/slope ratings and a par of 70 from the tips. The golf courses were originally designed by William Bell with a redesign of E.O. Nay by Desmond Muirhead in 1966.
