Bobby Jones Golf Course

The Bobby Jones Golf Course was the first public golf course in Atlanta opening in 1932 and honoring its favorite son Bobby Jones and originally designed by Wayne Stiles and John R. Van Kleek.

The golf course has been radically redesigned and re-imagined from an 18 hole layout to just 9 holes on a roomy, 130 acres complete with a practice facility and a wee links. The golf course can be played either 9 or 18 holes with a different routing the second time around and is also reversible and played in the opposite direction. In terms of hazards, the original Tanyard Creek still cuts across the middle of the property with Peachtree Creek on the eastern border and less than 20 sand bunkers overall. The Magnolia and Azalea nines provide a total of eight tee boxes from 3,164 yards to 7,349 yards at the tips, designed by the late Bob Cupp.
