Ballantrae is an upscale, municipal golf course in a residential development south of Birmingham just off I-65 at exit 242 to the east in Pelham.

The layout cruises through a scenic setting overlooking Double Oak Mountain with an interesting and entertaining series of holes. It's carved through the deep woods along broad, mounded fairways with its fair share of water hazards and sand bunkers. From the tips it's 7,310 yards, 74.5/130, course/slope ratings with four shorter tee boxes, designed by Bob Cupp.
