Arroyo Trabuco is in Mission Viejo just off the San Diego freeway at exit 85 to the east and north of San Juan Capistrano.

The routing journeys along a valley up into the foothills with the finish back into the valley. It ambles over a large tract of land without homes or development along broad, isolated fairways through canyon wash areas bordered by the natural vegetation and tall fescue grasses. In terms of hazards there's two ponds potentially in play on three holes and a moderate amount of sand bunkers at the landing zones and defending the greens. There's four sets of tees from 5,045 yards to 7,011 yards from the tips, 73.7/134, course/slope ratings, a Tom Lehman and Casey O'Callaghan design.
