Whittaker Woods is about 1 1/2 hours east of Chicago, off I-94, the first exit into Michigan at New Buffalo.

The course is over a large, natural tract of land along isolated and unique fairway corridors. It's a parkland design for the most part, with some links elements along the more wide-open holes, well-bunkered fairways and greens, and ponds, wetlands, or streams in play on all but two holes. It was designed by Ken Killian, and from the back tees can play to 7,072 yards, 74.3/144, course/slope ratings, with 3 shorter sets of tees.
