Whitefish is in the Brainerd Lakes Area, approximately two hours north of Minneapolis, halfway between Pequot Lakes and Crosslake, just south of Bertha Lake.

It's a Northwoods layout through confining fairway corridors of trees and over rolling topography, leading to generous greens, most of which are defended by sand bunkers. It plays to 6,470 yards, 71.4/129, course/slope ratings off the back tees with three shorter tees, designed by Don Herfort.
