Whispering Creek is on the southeast side of Sioux City off Morningside Avenue.

The golf course is partially within a residential development with a variety of holes over a slight elevation change. It's mostly open but with scattered trees along the fairways, ponds or the pesky Whispering Creek in play on all but four holes, and a variety of sand bunkers along the fairways and around the greens. It can play from 5,100 to 7,175 yards from the back tees, 74.9/133, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees, designed by Todd Sapp in 2001.
