Viroqua Hills is 45 minutes south of La Crosse, on the south side of Viroqua, split by US 14, with a tunnel underneath.

The golf course is a classic Wisconsin layout, with pine, oak, and birch-lined fairways over rolling hills, several of which feature significant elevation changes. There are generous amounts of sand bunkers around most greens, and five holes with potential water hazards, including a waterfall. It plays to 6,376 yards from the tips, 70.8/123, course/slope ratings, or 5,804 yards from the white tees, 68.8/119, with two shorter tees.
