The Valley of the Eagles Golf Links is located in a scenic and unique setting in Haines 100 miles north of Juneau slogging over tide-lands which during high tide can encroach on the course.

The 9 hole layout is in a setting of overwhelming beauty along the Chilkat River with the Chilkat Mountain Range in the distance. The course opened in 2005 after years of convincing the U S Army Corp of Engineers to allow it to be built on the wetlands here, and although conditions are iffy and with artificial grasses, it's a definite must-play. It's an open, links style of design with salmon and trout rearing streams running through the layout, the occasional moose and bear roaming the area, and eagles soaring overhead.
