University Ridge is the University of Wisconsin-Madison home course and located on the southwest side of Madison.

The layout is roomy without homes or development along the holes. The front nine is a links-style design while the back nine is more traditional as it is cut through a heavy forest of mature trees. The course is a challenging and interesting design with the greens and fairways well protected with sand and grass bunkers but only two water hazards in play. From the tips the course measures 7,259 yards with a handicap rating of 74.9 and slope of 144 and four shorter tees, a Robert Trent Jones, Jr design.
