The Toiyabe Golf Club is 25 miles south of Reno off I-580 on the west side of Washoe Lake within a sparsely developed residential community.

The course marches over a large parcel of land on either side of Bowers Mansion Road with ample spacing between the fairways. Musgrove Creek traverses the northwestern third of the layout while the balance of the course is dotted with ponds. Additionally, sculptured sand bunkers guard most of the fairways and greens in a setting with the Sierra Nevadas and Mt. Rose and Slide Mountains as a backdrop. There's seven sets of tees overall with the Washoe tees playing to 6,431 yards, 71.0/130, designed by Robert Muir Graves.
