Thousand Acres is on the east side of Deep Creek Lake in western Maryland at the Grantsville exit off I-68.

The course is part of a residential community and a challenging, parkland layout through isolated, tree-lined fairways over rolling topography with views of the Appalachians and overlooking the southern portion of Deep Creek Lake. There are multiple tees from 5,103 yards to 7,211 yards; the white tees are 6,278 yards, 69.9/126, course/slope ratings, designed by Craig Schreiner.
