The Trails is located north of Dallas in Frisco on the west side of the Tollway between Main and Eldorado in a residential development.

It's a challenging golf course over mounded fairways along numerous ponds, wetlands, and the Cottonwood Branch stream with a variety of shapes and sizes of sand bunkers strategically placed at the landing areas and guarding the sides of the greens. From the black tees it plays to 6,959 yards, 74.0/138, course/slope ratings with three shorter sets of tees, a Jeff Brauer design.
