The Phoenician is on Camelback Road two miles west of Scottsdale Road.

The golf course is relatively short considering today’s standards and a mostly forgiving, “resort” style layout with varying degrees of elevation featuring five water hazards and a generous amount of sand bunkers defending the landing zones and green complexes. Most of the layout ambles over Camelback Mountain’s foothills with scenic mountain and valley views throughout the round. The layout offers four sets of tees ranging from 4,594 to 6,518 yards from the tips, 71.8/129, course/slope ratings designed by Ted Robinson and Homer Flint with a redesign to 18 holes by Phil Smith.
