The Medalist is located north of Marshall a few miles north of I-94 on I-69 at Turkeyville Road to the west.

The golf course is carved through the woods along wide ranging, broad fairways. There's an abundance of shapes and sizes of sand bunkers, four holes with water hazards in play, and massive green complexes. The layout has an ample supply of risk/reward opportunities with each hole well separated and unique. It's 6,955 yards with a 139 slope from the tips, the middle, white tees are 6,201 yards, 71.1/132 course and slope ratings. a William Newcomb design.
