The Jewel golf course is on the grounds of the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, the classic 100+ year old resort hotel overlooking Lake Huron and the Straits of Mackinac.

The Jewel consists of the Grand nine built in 1901 located across the street from the hotel, and the Woods nine set back in the trees and added in 1994 by Jerry Matthews. The Grand nine is short and compact winding over rolling terrain along landscaped fairways with views of Lake Huron. After a 15 minutes horse carriage ride at the turn you arrive at the Woods nine. It's an updated design carved through the deep woods along unique, isolated fairway corridors with multiple water hazards in addition to a sprinkling of sand traps. Overall the course is a par 67, 5,445 yards, 65.7/110, course/slope ratings from the back tees with two shorter tees.
