The Golf Club at Margaritaville is an hour north of Houston on Lake Conroe off I-45 at Hwy 106, then west to Lake Conroe.

The routing is over relatively flat terrain with fairways lined by tall hardwoods and pines, along with a few homes, and is somewhat target golf off the tee. The fairways are generally narrow with numerous dog legs, water hazards, and forced carries with a variety of shapes and sizes of sand traps along the fairways and guarding the greens. It was designed by Jeffrey Blume, and from the tips can play to 6,921 yards; the Blue tees are at 6,550 yards, 71.2/129, course/slope ratings.
