Tarratine is in Dark Harbor on Islesboro, a small island in Penobscot Bay with a a population of about 650 full time residents situated three miles off the Maine coastline and a 30 minute ferry ride from Linconville Beach.

The golf course is a straightforward, 9 hole parkland layout along broad fairways leading to postage stamp-sized greens with the first hole providing a stunning vista over Penobscot Bay. The original 1913 design by Alex Findlay remains in tact today playing to 3,058 yards from the back tees, 34.2/123, course/slope ratings.
