Tapawingo is located in the west St Louis off Watson Road with 27 holes in an upscale, residential development.

The golf course is set in a scenic setting on the Meramac River over rolling terrain with water hazards or wetlands in play on over half the holes which are concentrated on the Prairie nine. There's a liberal use of sand traps positioned along the landing zones and greens as it journeys along tree lined fairways with a number of forced carries and risk/reward options. There's five sets of tees overall with yardages, course/slope ratings from the tips: Woodlands-3,520-yards, The Prairie-3,631, The Meramec-3,493 yards.
