Stevens Point CC is off I-39 at the Main Street exit in Stevens Point on the southwest quadrant of the intersection.

The golf course is set on a natural tract of lowland on the east side of the Wisconsin River's wetlands, although water hazards affect play on less than 1/3 of the holes. It's a parkland design with a generally level topography, a host of conventional and massive waste-area sand bunkers, and generous green complexes. There are five sets of tees from 4,884 yards to 6,916 yards off the tips. The middle White tees are 6,167 yards, 71.4/129, course/slope ratings. A 9-hole layout until the mid-1960s, the initial 18 holes were designed by Lawrence Packard and redesigned by Craig Haltom.
