Star Ranch is east of Round Rock Off TX 130 40 minutes northeast of downtown Austin.

The course is a solid layout over rolling terrain along broad, mounded fairways with stands of trees at the borders. There's water features in play on almost half the holes with pot and conventional sand traps defending the fairways and greens. The course was designed by Bechtol & Russell Golf Design and Carter Morrish, of Jay Morrish & Associates, and is 7,017 yards from the tournament tees, 73.5/130, course/slope ratings with three shorter tee boxes.
